Dundas Valley Trail Closures May19

May 19: The Dundas Valley Trails are currently all closed except for the Rail Trail due to the high winds last week. The high winds caused many broken branches which could come tumbling down at any time making trail use dangerous. This also happened to me last week when I was hiking with a friend near Grimsby and a large log-like branch fell down with a sudden crack and crashed just 5 m behind us. Too close for comfort!

To check if the Dundas Valley trails are open for the long weekend, it's best to phone the Dundas Valley Conservation Area at 905-627-1233 for a recorded message on trail conditions before you head that way.
