Jan 2012 - L03 Terra Cotta Update

Due to the development of an active quarry, the two former Bruce Trail routes through the Terra Cotta Conservation area have been closed. The main Bruce Trail has been moved over to the Caledon Trailway. As a result some of the best sections of the hike have been removed. It is hoped that the Bruce Trail Conservancy will be able to develop an alternate trail between Winston Churchill Blvd and Heritage Road. The revised trail description does include the option of a double loop but it involves some walking along Winston Churchill Blvd. Adding this loop increases the hike length from 17.0 km to 19.5 km.

To accomodate these changes, the trail map has been redone along with the waypoint Trail Guide for L03. The Elevation profile has not been updated. The trail log will be updated in the near future. 12 Jan 2012
